But, yeah, the puzzling way the Elle and Miller's relationship unfolds is oddly hypnotic. And what hit me hardest was the chilling anguish, the impossibility of connection between them in the end. Not no connection as when the film begins, or romantic union, like when they're flirting w/ each other, but it's over, impossible to revive, and the desolation that follows.
