Their relationship is sweet and loving. It's characterized by good poetry (Lewis goes out of his way to mention that their choice of poets is surprisingly good, and genuine passion. Their other live's with their respective spouses are the sad and tawdry versions. It is as perfect short story as it's ever been my pleasure to read and reread over the decades. However long...or short...I can't think of a single word that either by addition or subtraction would benefit the work.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
